About the Chocolate Festival
The Firehouse Art Center’s Chocolate Festival is our organization’s biggest community event and the premiere food festival in the region for chocolate-inspired goods. During the festival, partnering restaurants and businesses will offer thousands of samples of delectable treats for those who wish to purchase tickets, the proceeds of which will support the Firehouse Art Center’s art education programs. With over 4,000 attendees each year, this successful event was voted the 2011 “Best Charity Event” by Oklahoma Magazine, has been consistently recognized for the past decade as one of the “Best Local Festivals” by the Reader’s Choice Awards from the Norman Transcript, has been third on the Food Network’s Top Ten National Food Festival list, has been featured in Bon Appétit and Southern Living magazines, and received the 2009 Frontier Country Grand Award for Outstanding Food Festival.

Chocolate Festival Arts Day
Chocolate Festival attendees are also invited to participate in the free art activities taking place during the event. Previous years have included foil sculpting for both adults and children and "Creative Cube" painting for children. Art activities are free of charge and Chocolate Festival tickets are not required to participate. FAC faculty and instructors will be on hand to demonstrate and assist with the activities and to discuss children and adult art education programs offered at the Firehouse Art Center and at local public elementary schools.
