ADVANCED JEWELRY MAKING TECHNIQUES

This is a continuation of class for those students who have taken Jewelry Making Techniques, and who are becoming fairly proficient in the basics of sawing, soldering, forming, and surface embellishment. All supplies and some silver are provided. Stones and gold will not be provided; gemstones may be available for purchase.

JEWELRY MAKING TECHNIQUES
Students will learn techniques in jewelry making and metalsmithing to create jewelry made by hand, from raw metal to a finished work of art. Lessons involve basic fabricating techniques: sawing, filing, soldering, stone setting, surface embellishments and polishing. Students will be introduced to basic forming techniques using silversmithing hammers. For all levels; all supplies and some silver are provided. Stones and gold are not provided; gemstones may be available for purchase.
